Shelf tags will vary from store to store as well as within store departments, but below are some
examples of common shelf tag attributes …
- Department – What store department the item belongs in.
- SKU – Stocking keep Unit, AKA “Item Number” within the store chain.
- Item Description Code – Item description code for that item.
- UPC - Universal product code.
- Tag Date – When the tag was created / price of product was last updated.
- Facing # - Number of facings the product should have on the shelf or display.
- Modular location – Dept. section location #.
- Item Size – Size of the item, (IE: ounces, pounds, or quantity).
Here's another example below...
